Also known as Divine Words, play by Spanish (Galician) playwright Don Ramón Del Valle-Inclan. Swedish translation by Gun Jönsson and Ivar Harrie, directed by Ingemar Carlehed. The story on which the Ingmar Bergman film The Naked Night (Gycklarnas Afton) is based.

Set in early 20th century Spain. Septimo Mjau is conjuror of tricks, a street smart casanova, that hides an even darker secret than anyone could imagine. Mari-Gaila is bored with her life, taking care of a simpleton and being married to a rigid priest. She meets Septimo Mjau and is taken on a journey – into lust and darkness.
